how do i get into shōtō?

reservations can be made through our online reservation system or via the phone, 647.253.8000. don’t see a reservation? check back throughout the day. all cancellations become available again on the reservation site.

a loved one has a reservation, and i would like to pre-pay for their meal, drinks. how do i do this?

please contact the shōtō team by emailing toronto[at]momofuku.com. someone will contact you to set up payment.

can i change my party size?

yes, you can increase or decrease your party size through your confirmation email but remember that party sizes are limited to 1-4. please note in most cases shōtō does sell out, so do not expect to be able to change your party size.

how many days in the future are available for booking online?

our calendar shows 30 days for dinner including the current day. therefore, if you wanted to get a dinner reservation on the 30th you would call or log on the 1st at 10am, eastern time.

i am stuck somewhere with limited internet access and anticipate not making my reservation; i want to cancel.

once you’re in front of a computer, simply follow the cancellation link in your confirmation email. please note: all guests will receive a confirmation phone call with more than 24 hour advance notice.

what time do the next available day’s reservation times become available?

everyday at 10:00am the next available day opens for reservations. our reservation system closes nightly at midnight EST. reservations are available by phone between 10am and 5pm monday – saturday.

how do i know what’s available?

available times will be shown once you’ve selected a date. if there’s nothing available, the site will indicate this. reservations are given on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend entering your information quickly. your reservation is not held unless you complete entire reservation process.

i am going to be late for my reservation. what should i do?

if you’re going to be late for you reservation, please call 647.253.8002. unfortunately out of respect for other guests we can only hold your table for 15 minutes.

i need to cancel my reservation. what should i do?

click the cancellation link in your confirmation e-mail. please note: tasting menu cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation time are subject to a cancellation fee of $150 pp while multi-course dinner cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation time are subject to a cancellation fee of $95 per person. the cancellation fee is charged to the credit card provided during the reservation process.

cancelled reservations return to the reservation system. there is no wait list and we do not allow walk-ins.

can i make a reservation by phone?

yes, by calling 647.253.8000 between 10:30 am – 5 pm on monday – saturday.

how many reservations can i make per week?

we limit reservations to two per week.

the fried chicken dinner is noodle bar’s large format meal. it feeds 4-6 people. the meal includes two whole fried chickens, one southern style and one korean style, and it comes with scallion pancakes, ginger scallion sauce, jalapeno garlic sauce, pickled vegetables, shaved radishes, herbs and tabasco salt. guests are encouraged to eat as they please, from making wraps with the pancakes to eating the chicken straight-up. the fried chicken costs $125 for your entire party (4-6 people), not including additional food and drinks ordered, tax and tip. parties of 7-12 will be asked to order a double fried chicken which is two orders of the fried chicken for $250.

what is the difference between the southern style and the korean style fried chicken?

the korean style fried chicken is marinated in sake, onion and garlic. dipped in a batter and fried. it is then tossed in korean bbq sauce. the southern chicken is coated in a dry seasoning (garlic, onion, cayenne, paprika, seaweed, flour) and then fried.

how far in advance does one have to reserve?

we ask that you reserve a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

what if I want to cancel my reservation?

please cancel by clicking on the cancellation link in your confirmation email. then, you will be sent a cancellation email. alternatively, you can call us at 647.253.8000 monday – saturday between 10:30 am and 5 pm. we require 24 hours notice for cancellations. if you cancel fewer than 24 hours in advance, or do not attend your reservation, you will be charged $100.

can i make two fried chicken reservations and bring more than 6 guests?

yes, guests over 6 will be asked to order double fried chicken which is two orders of the fried chicken.

what if i need to change my party size?

if you’d like to change the number of guests attending, please do so by responding to your confirmation email or call 647.253.8000 between 10:30am and 5pm monday – saturday.

are there beverage pairings?

no, but your server can recommend wine, beer, or sake.

are there any vegetarian alternatives to the fried chicken?

no, but vegetarians may order items from the regular noodle bar menu.

can i order the fried chicken to go?

yes, we offer fried chicken to go and for delivery.

may i bring an outside cake to my fried chicken meal?

no, we do not allow outside food.

what should I do if I am running late?

no. the person making the reservation must attend the meal.

how far in advance does one have to reserve?

up to four weeks in advance and at least 48 hours notice for monday to friday reservations. saturday and sunday reservations close at 8pm on thursday evenings.

what if I want to cancel my reservation?

please cancel by clicking on the cancellation link in your confirmation email. then, you will be sent a cancellation email. we require 48 hours notice for cancellations. if you cancel fewer than 48 hours in advance, or do not attend your reservation, you will be charged $125.

can i make two fried chicken reservations and bring more than 8 guests?

no. the largest party size we can accommodate is 8 people.

what if i need to change my party size?

please email friedchixresy@gmail.com regarding any party size change, or questions prior to your reservation. please note, your final headcount must be made within 24 hours of your reservations tuesday-friday and by friday for reservations saturday-monday.

are there beverage pairings?

no, but your server can recommend wine, beer, sake or soju.

are there any vegetarian alternatives to the fried chicken?

no, but vegetarians may order items from the regular noodle bar menu.

how much time does it take? how long is the typical fried chicken?

your fried chicken will arrive at your table approximately 15 minutes after your reservation time. guests typically take two hours to enjoy the meal.

can i order the fried chicken to go?

no, not yet.

may i bring an outside cake to my fried chicken meal?

no, we do not allow outside food. however, if you’d like, you may pre-order a cake or pie from milk bar (located across 13th street from ssäm bar) and pick it up on your way to the restaurant. we do not allow candles.

what should I do if I am running late?

there is a 15 minute grace period before we relinquish the table. please make sure your entire party is prompt and arrives at your reservation time. if you will be late, please call our reservation hotline 212-500-0831.

may i make a reservation for someone else? or purchase a reservation from someone else? or sell my reservation?

no. the person making the reservation must attend the meal.

when is the new day available online?

how do i know what’s available?

green check mark = available / red “x” = taken.

i clicked a green check but didn’t get the reservation, why?

reservations are given on a first come basis so you have to click fast, really fast. even if you see a green check mark you may not get the seat because someone else may grab it a split second before you.

we have very limited gluten-free items at noodle bar. please alert your server as to any allergies or special dietary needs you may have. we suggest dining at our restaurant daisho which has more gluten-free options.

do you take reservations?

noodle bar is primarily a walk-in restaurant. a very limited number of reservations are available for parties of 1-12 up to 30 days in advance.

can large parties be accommodated at noodle bar?

we won’t turn you away, please ask your host for a quoted wait time when you arrive.

what's your wait time like?

because every day is different, we can’t accurately predict wait times. if you have a wait, you may wait in nikai, our bar/lounge on the second floor. our host team will take your mobile # and text message you when your table is nearly ready. please note, we are only able to seat complete parties. alert your host if your party is incomplete so that we can do our best to accommodate you accordingly.

can i have a private party at noodle bar?

no. however, we have private spaces available at other parts of momofuku toronto. click here for more information.

do you provide take out orders?

noodle bar food is available for pick-up only. orders must be placed in person.

do you sell gift cards?

yes. momofuku toronto offers gift cards that can be redeemed at our toronto locations: noodle bar (to), nikai, daishō, and shōtō. please purchase our cards in-person at any of our restaurants, or purchase a gift card online here.

yes. we can accommodate vegetarians + dietary restrictions; however, due to our changing menu, accommodations are made on a case by case basis. please alert your server of specific needs.

are reservations taken?

ssäm bar does not offer standard reservations. we only take reservations for guests who order the bo ssäm, our pork shoulder meal for 6-10 people, or the whole rotisserie duck meal for 3-6 people.

can large parties be accommodated at ssäm?

to guarantee a table, parties of 3-6 guests may preorder a whole rotisserie duck meal. for parties of 6-10 people, order the bo ssäm. for more information on both large format meals, click here. if you have a party of more an 11 people, we can accommodate you if you order the bo ssäm or duck ssäm prix fixe: click here for more information. a la carte large parties are seated first come, first served.

what’s your wait time like?

we don’t give out wait times since it can be difficult to accurately predict. if there happens to be a wait, you are welcome to head to booker and dax (in the back of ssäm bar) for a snack and drinks until your table is ready. please note: booker and dax operates it’s own wait list. see the booker and dax beverage menu.

can we bring our own wine?

yes. our corkage fee is $30 per 750mls, with a maximum of four bottles per table.

may i bring an outside cake to my meal?

the bo ssäm (ssäm is korean for enclosed or wrapped) includes a whole slow cooked pork shoulder, a dozen oysters, white rice, bibb lettuce, ssäm sauce (korean bbq sauce), kimchi and ginger scallion sauce. guests are encouraged to make wraps with the pork and condiments or eat as they please.

how is the duck cooked?

the duck, from crescent farms, long island is stuffed with duck sausage under the skin and then cooked on a rotisserie. please note, the duck sausage contains pork.

what are examples of sides?

the sides change frequently. some examples are broccoli salad, spicy fingerling potatoes, and pickles.

why do you only take reservations for 3 to 6 people?

this dish is recommended for parties of 3 to 6 people. for parties of more than 6 people, we recommend doing the bo ssäm. for parties of more than 10, we recommend the bo ssäm + duck ssäm prix fixe.for parties of fewer than 3, please just walk-in and order from our a la carte menu.

since we want to guarantee seats for your party, we are unable to make reservations during the dinner rush hour.

how far in advance does one have to reserve?

what if i need to change my party size?

what’s on the menu?

we offer a daily tasting menu for dinner monday to saturday, and for lunch on saturday. we are closed sundays. we do not offer any a la carte options but we will do our best to accommodate food allergies and dietary requirements with prior notice. please note, we also have a bar area that is walk-in only and serves drinks and snacks.

i am vegetarian/I am gluten-free/I have food allergies/I am pregnant, can i eat at seiōbo?

yes! we will do our best to accommodate food allergies and dietary requirements. when making a reservation, please add your food allergies/restrictions to your reservation notes. it’s best if we know in advance, otherwise, we might not be able to accommodate a special menu.

how much does it cost?

the tasting menu is currently AUD$185.

do you accept walk-ins?

we will accept walk-ins on a case-by-case basis. if we have availability or in the case of a cancellation, we will happily accept your party.

why are reservations taken at seiōbo?

because the menu and style of service are enhanced by set dining times.

how long does it take to eat at seiōbo?

the menu includes approximately 11 courses and takes at least two hours to complete.

do you offer beverages?

yes. we offer a selection of wine, sake, beer and spirits. we also offer a selection of beverage pairing options including the full beverage pairing AUD$105, reduced pairing AUD $65 and a non-alcoholic beverage pairing AUD$60.

may i take pictures?

yes! however, we ask that guests refrain from using flash photography, as it can be distracting to other guests.

do you sell gift cards?

no. we do not sell momofuku gift cards. the star gift cards are accepted with prior momofuku reservation.

how do i get into seiōbo?

by making an reservation through our online system. we also accept walk-ins based on availbility and space, but it’s not guaranteed you’ll be seated. to ensure a table, it’s best to make a reservation through our website. our reservation site shows a 20 day calendar including the current day. we do not accept reservations further in advance.

why don’t you accept phone reservations?

seiōbo’s reservation system is completely automated. our online reservation system is the fairest way to receive reservations for the limited seats we have.

i just made a new account, why can’t i log on?

check your email for an account confirmation. then, follow the directions in the email.

it’s friday and i’m logged into the system and i seem to not see any reservations available on sundays. what is that?

we are closed on sundays, which means, on friday at 10:00am there are no new reservations available. however, cancelled reservations are still available so make sure to log in if you’re interested in a reservation on another day.

a loved one has a reservation, and i would like to pre-pay for their meal, drinks. how do i do this?

please contact the seiobo team by emailing sydney[at]momofuku.com. someone will contact you to set up payment. seiōbo also accepts the star gift card with prior reservation.

in order to cancel your reservation you need to click on the cancellation link in your confirmation email and enter your username and password. please note, if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance of your seating time and your reservation cannot be filled in our system, or if you do not attend your reservation, there is a cancellation/no show fee of AUD$185 per person for dinner.

what’s on the menu?

we offer a roughly 10 course tasting menu for dinner five nights a week (tuesday-saturday). we also offer a multi-course dinner of 5-6 courses three nights a week (tuesday-thursday). we do not offer any a la carte options but we will make accommodations for food allergies.

i have a food allergy and/or dietary restrictions. can i eat at shōtō?

we can accommodate many—but not all—major food allergies + dietary restrictions. we do not accommodate food preferences. when making a reservation, please make sure to tell our reservationist about any food allergies/restrictions. it’s best if we know in advance, otherwise, it’s more likely we will not be able to accommodate a special menu.

how much does it cost?

our tasting menu is currently $150. our multi-course dinner is currently $95.

how long does it take to eat at shōtō?

our tasting menu averages around two hours and our multi-course dinner is approximately 1.5 hours.

do you offer beverages?
